Cookies policy

This page describes the cookies used on query-metrics.digital and how you can accept or reject optional cookies.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences or understand how pages are used. Related technologies such as localStorage may store similar choices — for example your cookie consent decision.

How we use cookies

We use essential cookies and storage to remember cookie consent and keep basic site functions working. If you accept analytics cookies, we use them to see which guides and consultation pages are visited most often, so we can improve clarity — not to sell advertising profiles.

Types of cookies

  • Essential — required for consent storage and security; these run regardless of analytics choice.
  • Analytics — optional; set only if you press Accept on the cookie banner.

Cookies table

Name Purpose Duration Provider
marlowe_cookie_consent Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies Until cleared (localStorage) Marlowe (first party)
marlowe_session Maintains a basic session token for form abuse prevention where enabled Session Marlowe (first party)
_mma Counts anonymised page views for internal analytics when accepted 6 months Marlowe analytics (first party)
_mma_id Distinguishes unique browsers for analytics totals when accepted 12 months Marlowe analytics (first party)

Managing or disabling cookies

On your first visit you can Accept or Reject optional cookies via the banner. Rejecting does not block browsing, appointment requests, or reading guides. You can clear site data in your browser settings to see the banner again. You may also use browser controls to block cookies entirely.

Third-party cookies

Embedded fonts from Google Fonts may cause your browser to request resources from Google’s domains. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we add a map or video embed in future, we will update this table.

Impact of disabling

Blocking essential storage may mean we cannot remember your cookie choice and the banner will reappear. Blocking analytics simply means we will not collect optional usage totals. Site content and enquiry forms remain available.
