Purposes and lawful bases
We process enquiry data to respond to your request and schedule consultations (legitimate interests and, where you enter a contract, performance of that contract). We process advice-file documents to provide regulated mortgage-related advice and to meet record-keeping duties. Marketing emails for rate-end reminders are sent only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Retention
General website enquiries that do not become clients are retained for up to 24 months. Advice files and suitability records are retained for the periods required by financial services regulation and our professional insurers — typically at least six years after the advice relationship ends, and longer where rules require. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Sharing
We may share necessary information with lenders, insurers, or solicitors when you instruct us to proceed, and with IT or email providers who host our systems under contract. We do not sell your data.
International transfers
If a provider stores data outside the United Kingdom, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses are in place.
Your rights
